Contemporary facelift & extension with huge, bright & modern spaces:

The design journey with this project was long but very exciting. Our clients wanted to explore some very extreme designs (which was SO much fun!). Initially sketches ideas included a fully timber clad 2 storey building with a full height monolithic zinc entrance feature.

Modern proposals, nestled amongst traditional buildings often cause problems during the planning process but we were delighted that during initial pre-app discussions the Surrey Heath Borough Council Planning Department were very supportive of this approach.

This was a self build where the client took on an awful lot of the build work and manahgement of specialist consultants himself, so we kept popping back every now and then to see how it was progressing and are blown away with how he has brought our concept to life!
